Governance and coordination

Ensuring Effective Governance and Coordination

The JuSTICE Project is led by the Ministry of Justice through a Project Management Unit (PMU), ensuring strong national ownership and leadership in justice sector support. Governance and coordination are ensured by the PMU, assisted by a team of technical assistants, in managing day-to-day operations and coordinating efforts with key partners, including the People’s Supreme Court, the Office of the Supreme People’s Prosecutor, and the Lao Bar Association. The project is guided by a Steering Committee, which provides strategic oversight, and a Technical Coordination Committee, which ensures effective planning and collaboration. By reinforcing internal management, decision-making, and communication, this initiative ensures that justice sector reforms are locally driven, well-structured, and aligned with national priorities.
