On the afternoon of September 24, 2024, at the Ministry of Justice, Mr. Getsana Phommachanh, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Justice welcomed Mr. Jos Uitdehaag, Vice President of the Union International des Huissiers de la Justice (UIHJ), and his team.

The purpose of this visit was to review the achievements of the second phase of UIHJ’s work with the Division of Judgment Enforcement, supported by the JuSTICE project, and to discuss potential future collaboration. This initiative aligns with the 2024 action plan of the JuSTICE project and is part of the ongoing efforts to enhance the capacity of the Division of Judgment Enforcement. Under this partnership, UIHJ experts will provide guidance and support in developing tools such as guidebooks and procedural instructions to improve efficiency in judgment enforcement.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister Phommachanh expressed appreciation for UIHJ’s support and encouraged continued collaboration to modernize and strengthen the judgment enforcement system in Laos. He conveyed his gratitude to Mr. Uitdehaag and his team, wishing them success and good health throughout their work in the Lao PDR.
