On 23 December 2024, the JuSTICE Project Supported the Department of International Cooperation (DIC), Ministry of Justice (MOJ), in conducting a comprehensive three-day training program focused on enhancing the Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and E-Office skills of its technical officers.
The event was chaired by Mrs. Saiykhit Visysombat, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Deputy Director of the Justice Project Management Unit. The training welcomed 31 participants representing the Department of International Cooperation, various divisions, the Centre for Economic Dispute Resolution, the National Institute of Justice, and the Lao Bar Association.
The objective was to enhance the information technology knowledge and practical skills of MOJ officers. The training was designed to equip participants with both foundational and advanced expertise in the utilization of essential Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and E-Office tools. By fostering these critical competencies, the Ministry aimed to substantially boost operational efficiency and enhance overall adaptability to effectively, improve data management capabilities and enhance overall adaptability to effectively meet the evolving demands of the digital era.
The training was facilitated by experts from the TACDO Consulting Center and supported by the Justice Project, placed a strong emphasis on hands-on learning and practical applications, covering key focus areas such as advanced functionalities of Microsoft PowerPoint to create impactful presentations, Excel tools for data analysis, reporting, and visualization, and effective use of E-Office systems to streamline administrative processes. To ensure the practical application of learned skills, participants actively engaged in working through the real case scenarios and collaborative exercises, enabling them to confidently apply their newly acquired skills to their day-to-day tasks and responsibilities.
This training program reflects the Ministry of Justice’s strong dedication to proactively advancing the digital capabilities of its officers. By strategically investing in technology training, the Ministry is taking concrete steps to significantly enhance productivity levels, foster greater adaptability within its workforce, and ensure alignment with the ever-evolving demands of the digital age, ultimately contributing to more effective and efficient governance.
